What is the best way to uninstall all the pluggins and themes and start from just gbpvr? I've even tried uninstalling, emptying the gbpvr directory, and reinstalling gbpvr and that didn't do it.

Remove all of the files from the Plugins folder, and then remove all of the subfolders from the Skin folder except for 'Blue'.

Or even easier, just untick the "Plugins Enabled" option on the plugins tab in config. You should select the basic blue skin in the general tab if you have to revert to that.

cheers,

To disable them yes, but if he wants to "uninstall" best thing is to remove them from the folder altogether so that GBPVR doesn't even load them at all.

Another question for fldavem, is there something wrong with your installation that is causing you to do this?

Brian

Actually, yes, some of the selections cause me to get errors, so I thought I'd install them one at a time.
For example, the Video Archive plugin installs the DVD o MPEG, and pressing on that I get

Error: Access to the path 'C:\System Volume Information' is denied.

Once in a while I'll get another error, too. And the themes don't load correctly, with some icons missing (Video Library, etc). Also, I noticed when I use the Theme Manager and I switch themes, the console window shows that some of the files are missing, though it goes too fast for me to tell which.

Well you can remove everything like I stated above and then start installing them back one by one. When you get to the one that causes errors, post your problems and logs in the plugin and skin forum and everyone here will help you out.

And the best way to remove all the extra themes is what, removing the skins folder? Is there any sub folder in skin that I need to leave?

EDIT - Sorry, Brian, I see you already told me that!!!

I agree that the disable option is obviously a bit too much of a blunt instrument for the fault-finding that fldavem wants to do, but it is quite useful for finding out if any GB-PVR problems are plugin-related and is a bit more thorough than you think: if you check while this is unticked you will see that your plugin directory is in fact empty and GB-PVR doesn't load them - bringing them back is equally easySmile
