i don't think, i will make a x-series-skin. i can try, but i doubt, it will work.

What makes you think it would not work? I was thinking of using your images to give it a try... but wouldn't want to if it would be a lost cause...

there is too much hardcoded in the plugin. it simply would not look good, thats all. you can try, if you want to. if it's ok, i will include your changes in the next release.

hey, thanks for posting that psd, my background looks so much better now, no banding from multiple compressions etc, I actually used a png, because it has even less artifacts.
I would like to make a few other changes, like making the trible fill red toned instead of blue on all the black screens, I should be able to do it without the source, but source is always nice

btw, your graphic design skills are awesome, I can naver make stuff like that, I can just modify

oh and I have a question, why doesnt ML2 have a task image? although answering it myself it looks like its not loading the right skin file... I will need to do some serious checking of my installation

there should be a task-image in the folder. just download the package from the wiki again.

the trible is illustrator. i have attached it to the sassari-wiki-page. you'll have to tweak it before using it for gbpvr. so did i. change the colours in illustrator, delete the black background and import the *.ai into photoshop.

yeah, I think I am going to reinstall everything, to get rid of all the extra crap in the directory. but as I said above, looks like its getting the wrong skin (you can check this in that log I posted about a crash).

I really appreciate your willingness to share your work so we can modify it. this might be asking too much, but might you be able to send me the full source? I would like to tweak a few different parts of the UI. since I am going through all this trouble to make it look good with my red theme, do you want me to send you my full skin? also, I hope you dont mind but do you think you could credit my contributions? I dont care that much that its not, but I would really appreciate it if you did.

aside: are you running vista? or do you just change your theme all the time?

i edited the wiki entries. normally i credit the contributions from other users, somehow this time i forgot. sorry about that. i think, it would be cool to not just change the button color in the performance app but also the background and other images. i think, i will tweak the skin a bit (use png as background and so on), so your red version could be made public.

i won't release the full source on the wiki. just pm me your email-adress and you can have the source. it is not that much though....i'm not very good at saving my work, so some elements might be gone.

i am running vista, but currently i use xp. and yes, i do change my theme all the time ;-) so it's both: vista and themes....

I admit I was bad, I created a png, then renamed it to a jpg, because I was lazy at the time, and just wanted to see how it looked (and I was curious as to if it would work or not). so I havnt actually edited the skin files.

I knew you changed your theme frequently (there are 3 different windowbars in your screenshots) I just thought that one looked like the original "longhorn" black theme, one looked like aero glass, and one looked like vista with aero glass disabled.

I can run sassari or video archive but when I try to use them at the same time I get some really strange behavior. first, if I try to start gbpvr I have only the default plugins listed and if I try to start the config app I get the enclosed error message:

well I figured out why musiclibrary2 wasnt using the right skin... there was no skin!! damn two folders named music library2 (with and without a space)
SO I am now skinning music library2.. we will see how that goes.

dottore, the new installer, with the weather panel, it is unclear whether the weather panel/va is selected, also the weather panel isnt actually enabled with either button next to it.

just so dottore knows whats going on with this, I got those files, and made a bunch of changes for my color scheme, I personally think it looks awesome now, and would be happy to share my red skin with everyone, here or packaged with the normal sassari.

aditionally I am skinning a few plugins/making them look better. right now I am working on
My Programs: this is almost done I think, I just need to do something with the loading screen (I think)
Guide Search: the default one, havnt done anything yet, want to put the panel behind it and fix how the show information is displayed.
Music Library2: took a look at it last night (thankfully it supports resolution changes) have done a few very minor things, like using the right popup image. the skin for this is huge, so it will take a little while.

ok updaing my status for anyone who cares

My Programs: fixed the loading screen, so it is "done" to me, all I use it for are emulators but everything should work (theoretically), I will post the skin when I get home, you guys can let me know if you have problems
Guide Search: no change
Music Library2: um... got the bullets on the bottom to use the normal image, and spaced them evenly... yeah I have alot to do
