I downloaded and installed the new version. First off, thanks Sub! Big Grin

I did find a minor issue in the new version. The mute button on my remote doesn't mute the volume in GB-PVR.

Here's how I got there...
I have a PVR-350 and I've applied the remote fix for my 45 button remote through the Config App. Still in the Config App, on the "Playback" tab, it doesn't matter if "Volume Control" is set to "Master Volume" or "Local Volume." It also doesn't matter if I have the direct access set on the "Misc" tab either or any combination of the two. The volume up/down buttons work fine.

The command is being received and executed by the software. If I'm outside GB-PVR and press the mute button, the red X appears on the speaker icon in the system tray. Push mute again and it goes away.

I was playing around with different Audio Renderer settings but wouldn't think that would effect this issue.

Second issue (minor):
In the posting for this new version, I noticed it says:
Quote:Improved volume control, including OSD graphics
This is great, I had been hoping for this for awhile! However, the only time the speaker and volume level appear on screen in the app is when I use my volume control knob on my keyboard (which changes the system's master volume level).
One thing I noticed on this issue, when I have "Volume Control" set to "Master Volume" in the Config app, it changes the "Wave" volume level on my system. The OSD only seems to appear if the Master Volume level is changed. But the OSD doesn't appear at all when it's set to "Local Volume," which kinda makes sense.

Sorry for the books worth of a post!

I don't think the mute function on the hauppauge remote is mapped when using GBPVR. If it works when GBPVR is not running then try going into irremote.ini in c:\windows folder (open it with notepad or similar). In the section headed [default] try copy and pasting the MUTE command (probably "MUTE={app(0x80000)}" if its the same as mine) into the section headed [GB-PVR] at the bottom of the page

Think there is an issue with Hauppuge remote and Volume OSD as I have the same issue which I've already posted about.

That work around works. Changing mute mapping as you suggested works. The original mapping was:
Quote:MUTE={ctrl}M

Apparently the CTRL-M shortcut doesn't work anymore or was removed because I tried using it on my keyboard in the program and it didn't do anything.

nemulate, where did you post because I didn't see it

The other fix in irremote.ini you can add to show the volume controls is, substituting {add} and {subtract} for the + and - in the GBPVR section.

When I changed the Volumeup and volumedown (I think these are the tags) to the {add} and {subtract} codes, the volume OSD showed up.

Mute support hasnt been implemented yet. I was going to implement it in the current release, but the final release of IE7 appearing on the Microsoft website combined with GB-PVRs incompatibility with IE7 prompted me to shelve plans to do. I had to get a release out relatively quickly.

I'll probably add mute support in the next release.

OK, that makes sense. I was confused because it worked in the previous release and I was sitting there pressing mute and it wasn't doing anything with the new release. No problem!

Thats odd you'd say that - there has never been support for the mute key in any GB-PVR release. Its not something I use, so its never been important to me. I only started to add support in this current v0.98.13 release (incl picking Ctrl-M etc)

Hummm... had you previously mapped mute in the irremote.ini? If not, then the software was probably muting the system master volume control. In other words, it was using the MUTE={app(0x80000)} in the default section that fuzzweed was talking about.
