Are you upgrade from same version .98.xx or between version .97.xx? I think there are problems with upgrade between version because the database is not compatible between version.

I went ahead and uninstalled, and then re-installed clean. Recording once again worked for a short time, but then soon failed. Now, this morning, if I attempt to schedule a show to record, I get an error message:

Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

I have come to realize that one possible cause for problem could be lack of disk space. That might explain why recording 1 or 2 shows as a test works fine, but then once I schedule a bunch of shows it eventually fails. Does GBPVR recover gracefully if it encounters a full disk?

I have attached a zip file of my logs (at least I think I did-- I've never attempted to do an attachment like this before).

The upgrade I previously mentioned was from an older version which required me to run a database conversion utility (which seemed to work fine). However, I have since uninstalled that upgrade and re-installed a fresh, clean .98.xx version, so I don't think any prior database conversion should still be an issue.

Can you also post your recording service logs?

It depends just how empty your disk is. If got a very small amount of disk space left, then you'll get a very small bit of a recording. If it cant even create the empty file, then you'll most likely get a recording marked as 'failed'.

Sorry, I thought I had included all of them.

The more I experiment, the more I'm convinced it was lack of disk space that was causing my problems.

I will say, however, that once a full disk was encountered, even after freeing up space GBPVR did not not seem to work properly. It seems that rebooting the PC was required to reset things.

There is no errors in that specific set of logs.

I'm sorry to have wasted your time. As weekends are the primary time I have to play with things like this, I've been trying many things the last 2 days to try and determine what's happening, and I probably have been doing too many things at once instead of taking a more logical, step-by-step approach. Obviously the logs I posted must have been from a point shortly after I had reset things and before the problem occurred. Actually I never intended to claim there was any problem with the program-- I initially just posted a simple question-- but everyone here was so helpful, one thing just led to another.

At this point, as I said earlier, I'm pretty confident that the problem was a shortage of disk space. If I determine otherwise I will definitely post back-- otherwise you can consider this a false alarm.

Allow me to take this opportunity to thank you for a terrific product.

Cool... I see how you can use it in postprocessing.bat to sleep after a recording, but how do you use it to cancel sleep if there's a recording immediately following??

in parrallelprocessing.bat, put in psshutdown -a to cancel the hibernation process.
