Network client issues

Ok I have two tuners a ATI wonder pro running under the software recorder and a PVR150MCE and I'm trying to stream over a wireless network with 4 out of 5 bars on a 54 mbs connection to a client. I checked to see if this would work by streaming a video to media player classic through windows networking and it worked great. When I go to play through GBPVR in file sharing mode I hit play the box stays there for a couple seconds and then disappears. Live TV it says failure to communicate with recording service. In streamming mode I get ERROR: Failure playing back file after a long delay and the same for live tv. Sub said something about using SQlite and I was wondering how to enable that. If you want any logs just let me know where you want me to pull them from. I'm a little new at troubleshooting because I've been using this software for 2 years and haven't had an issue.

Have you tried it with only the PVR150? I dont know anything about the software recorder, and it might not be compatible.

You need to run the included ChangeDatabase.exe utility to do this.

nope same errors is there any ports I have to open up besides typical file sharing. I noticed that my recording service doesn't even start on the server when live tv is clicked. These computers are all clean installs and the networking works perfect.

Your recording service logs seem to have a few SoftwareRecorder plugin error messages, so that may be the cause. Sorry, I dont support this card or plugin, so you need to remove those capture sources and the DLL to entirely take them out of the mix when debugging this client usage.

If its not the SoftwareRecorder plugin causing the problem, then I'm guessing its a firewall is getting in the way of communication between these boxes.

well I disabled the capture source and the firewall and still no luck. Ill remove the dlls tommorow and give it a whirl since I got some shows coming up. Your most likely right that the software recorder is giving me the problems.

I noticed that you have different share-names (shares is right isn't it)

Yeah thanks for that. That got my recordings working. Live TV still doesnt work but no big deal. Def the weird tuner doesnt matter though a neighbor set up a router or something that cut my signal in half. My router can handle 4 wireless networks in the same range but the fifth one cut it in half.
