I took it to mean - "re-installed ML2" ie all its directories - plugins dir, and the skin files.

The only other thing I can think of it's an old version of ML2 when i was still using ultraid3lib.dll - which I haven't done since early 3.x versions...

Latest

HtV Wrote:I thought he did that by renaming the plugin dir. Although I'm not sure what he meant with:"re-applying the ML2-dirs".

Copying the folders and files from the zip into the GBPVR directory.

Tried that late last night, machine reboots when attempting to play any mp3
I guess Music Library 2 is not for me Sad

Whenever something changes I have to try and force the MVP to re-draw so maybe that is being missed...
I have repeated the experiment the ML2Panel. I can listen to ML2 on a) the server, b) a PC client and c) MVP. I 'nuked the Library' and did rescan rescan the MP3 database on the server. I switched off screen saver in the GBPVR configurator on server and client.
All installations have the same software version as far as I can see, though I must say I am still confused of which PC-client settings are coming from the local config.xml, and which come from the server config.xml.
The following I observed:
Ad a){Server} Title and Album art displayed OK; Actual time point on track is OK; Track duration only seconds are displayed
Ad b){PC Client} Title and Album art displayed OK; Actual time point on track is OK; Track duration only seconds are displayed
Ad c){MVP} Title and Album art displayed OK; Actual time point on track remains 00:00:00; Track duration only seconds are displayed

I have had this setup running for an hour an a half. The ML2Panel was activated via the menu. I will leave it on for some more time and than enable screensavers again from the configurator to see if screenupdating halts again as before. I'll keep you posted

EDIT: Whether I leave screen saver 'off' or 'on' in the GBPVR configurator, the screensaver is only updated if activated via the ML2Panel menu button

Ok, that all sounds promising. I' have a problem with album art that I'll try to fix this weekned.

I notice Ml2Panel being updated, but every so often I will flick over the tv from aerial to gbpvr and the screen saver is on, and the time is way out of date - but since I don't leave it on all the time it doesn't bother me.

That doesn't sound like an ML2 problem, what happens when you use the default music plugin to play music??

ML2 doesn't actually "play" the music, it just tells GBPVR to "please start playing this track".

So now you have only the MusicLibrary2.dll in the gbpvr/plugins directory correct??

Hi, I've just installed a fresh GBPVR 0.98.13 with no plugins except Volume OSD and ML2 v4.3 (top priority plugin!) and I'm noticing an issue which I'd seen earlier (think with GB 0.98.8) but had other issues to deal with first.

When I start a play list playing, go to main menu, and then return to ML2 menu, the button functions change: green now speeds up the playing track, and stop slows it down. This leaves me with no way to look at the playlist again, and no way to stop the music. I also noticed letters appear next to the AB tab - P for play, Q for que, R for random, these still show even though the functions are now doing speed up/slow down.

Any ideas on this? Ideally I'd like to be able to start a playlist playing, go to the main menu and watch a slideshow, then come back to skip songs or at least stop the music. One more obstacle to a mouse-free setup.

PS - what does 'AB' on the AB tab stand for? I keep thinking side A/B like the old days with tapes and records... There any functionality here?

Thanks again for an otherwise kick butt music app!

I've never heard on this happening before...Green button (ctrl-G) should only ever switch between Playlist screen and library screen....I use the Ctrl-right (Skip button) for next track.... - Check of you have "UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio" = true in your config.xml file (gbpvr directory).

Yeah, the AB is for displaying the result of using the number keys on the remote, it acts like a cellphone style text entry for finding the artist (or album or genre, all depends what in listed in the left hand list) for quick finding tracks. I.e if I want "Armin Van Buuren" - I have to hit 2, 7 , 7, 7, 6, 4, 4, 4 ("armi") and it will brin up all the tracks by this artist.

just checked the WMP -true statement and even updated to WMP 10, still no luck...

I can actually click 'Back/Exit' and move to the main menu, and while the ML2 icon is highted, click OK and it still works, but if I cycle thru the menu button and come back to ML2 the problem is there.

hooked up a keyboard and all the functionality remains constant, so it must be a Hauppauge IR issue, maybe I'll see if there's a driver or other update...

Tommorrow I'll try printing out my irremote.ini file (at work) and look through it as well...

thanks.

Ahh, so you do have WMP true, try turning it off (that what I was mean't to say, not just check on it....)

Thanks again,
