Ok, so that's more of a system problem then an ML2 specific one. I guess it all comes down to your decoders..

Does regular windows media player play the tracks?? And do they come out the spdif port that you're expecting?

Windows Media Player works fine using the same Realtek HD Audio Driver with the same SPDIF output and same settings as far as I can tell. What confuses me is why some work and some don't.

I'm going to try moving to a folder on another drive, but I'm open to any other trial suggestions...

Unless sub has seen this thread, and i'm guessing not - since it's specifc to one of my plugins, I would suggest you post a message in the support thread with the log files, trying to play one of these tracks in the default music library.

It's kind of moved out of the realm that I can help I'm sorry.

Thanks, and just so I know, is album art typically just in the Album folder, or should it be attached to each song's id3 tag somehow? (Media Monkey editor gave me an option of this, I've tried it both ways)

Now that I look at it, some of the folders that work have a duplicate set of large and small album art and some have none at all, could this be an issue?

Mostly the album art I'm expecting is in the directory and called folder.jpg or default.jpg. If you have a directory with lots of miscellanous tracks, it will also accept track name.jpg.

i used to have album art from the tags working, but i "lost" it when i changed tag readers. I hope to get it back...

Also currently I think there is an issue where it doesn't currently get displayed while playing. I have a fix to this i have not yet released.

I apologise right away but I have to bump you on this qustion, my daughter asked me to.

I just "remembered" one more thing: In ML2 you can start a song/dir with the play button. But in the playlist window you can only start a(nother) song with the enter button, the play-button does nothing.

In the playlist-window you can't get the song info now.

You were never able to do this, you can only ever get song info (i.e. that screen with the bit rate etc) from the titles listing on the library screen.

Ok great. I take it you mean pressing the playbutton on the remote will play the song. I don't need a button on the screen
