Worth bearing in mind that pre-gbpvr, it was:
- sit through mind-numbing commercials 20 mins every hour...
- and still nothing to watch...
- have to record onto dvd-rw to watch in the living room...
- or even vhs (shudder)...
- then forget to record stuff...
- Ferret around in the shelves to find a cd to play - for 40 mins, then repeat...
- Plug the camcorder into the tv to watch our home movies...
etc, etc, etc. Changed our lives.
Thanks sub, for all the work and support and ongoing development. And a shout out to the plugin developers, skin designers, and everyone on the boards that keep me clicking 'new posts'.
I echo the sentiments of support for the forum and for the work done by sub and the plugin developers. This is the first forum or chat room or anything I have ever participated in and I have really learned a lot. I still have a few things I would like to work better but I need to research more before I ask for more help.
This post interests me as it suggests that you can watch the recorded shows on more than 1 TV. Do you need more than 1 pvr-150 or similar card inside the computer? Where would I go to read up on it and what are the key acronyms that are relevant? Is this the client-thing I have seen referred to? What hardware would I need (besides a cord that attached the computer to more than just one TV)?
