when i launch GBPVR and go to the Program guide the program hangs for about 1-2 minutes and then the guide comes up. is there a way that I can make that a bit more responsive?

How many channels and days of listings do you have, and how fast is your machine?

When you start GB-PVR it starts loading the TV Listings in the background. You can go to any screen you want, but if you try to go to the TV Guide and it hasnt finished loading, then it make you wait until its completed. Its a one off hit, and only affects you if the TV Guide is the first thing you try to do after starting GB-PVR, so not a huge problem.

For most people this only takes about 10 seconds, so they dont even notice.

As far channels probably about 200 maybe a little more and 14 days worth of listings

1-2 minutes sounds a bit long, but thats a lot of listings, so I'd probably expect 20 - 30 seconds. Have you actually timed it, or does it just feel like forever?

If you're sure its taking this long, reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log and I'll take a look.

Sorry, I'm not really sure. I cant see anything going wrong in the logs.

You could always try loading less than 14 days if you want to speed it up.

I just edited my Channel lineup trimming a lot of the fat out of it. Am re downloading the Guide data now. I will let you know how that works out for me.

You'll probably want to drop and recreate your capture source to get rid of all those extra channels that would otherwise be hanging around.

ok that went quicker, down to 20-30 seconds to load.

But another issue that has been plaguing me. is that all my channels even when selected in Labs.zap2it.com don't show up in my EPG. Only a few are missing though like channels 4,5,7,9,11. but channel 2 appears for some reason.

Any Clue?

This is usually a sign you've got some duplicate channels. If 4 is missing, you'll probably find a channel with the same name later in you zap2it lineup. GB-PVR will only add the last one.
