I am having the hardest time trying to figure out why I can't play my movies. Before I updated to the latest gb-pvr I could pay them just fine however now I can't. I can play them with windows media player and I also ran gspot and the codec’s are available. My card is the pvr-350 and I updated the latest drivers. Any Ideas on how I can fix this?

Are you using the TV out on this device? The PVR350 TV out only supports MPEG1 and MPEG2.

If not, and you're using a regular video card for output, reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

I think i am using the pvr card. Should i use the software decoder to playback on my tv? I did change to the software decoder and it would not work with the divx files but it would work on the recorded programs. I do not think i have a graphics card on this system I access the system through VNC so there is no need for anything other then the whats on the system. I have a spare card should i install this?

Thanks Chris

Can I play divx videos through the pvr-350? I installed a g force 6200 card and if I hook up the card to the TV I can view the desktop and anything else that you would normally see on a computer. However the sound will not work . How do you hook up sound to play out the tv with the graphics card. Also the screen does not seem to fit right.

what do you mean sound out to the tv. You should just get an adapter than changes the 1/8" mini port to 2 RCA plugs, the white and red. These can then be plugged in to the tv. For my tv I got a molded cord from http://www.monoprice.com <-- cheapest cords I've ever found that converts to RCA and runs s-video as well.

What I meant to say is I want to use the TV speakers for the audio. So it looks like I need to get an adapter that will go from the 1\8" plugs on the computer to audio connectors that go to the TV. I noticed that when I use my graphics card as the output for gb pvr if you go and launch a video file specifically avi it will then launch a separate application to play the file. Is there any way to play the file in gb pvr.
