My problem is that I sometimes discover that a recording has no sound.

This happens sometimes. I cannot figure out what causes it. The only
cure is to restart the computer.

I cannot debug it, because when I start watching the recording (maybe
days later) the computer has already been booted.

We do other things on that computer, and it is not permanentely on.

I have started with GBPVR in september 2006 and all versions and drivers
are the most recent ones.

post your logs - they may show something - oh and just a quick question - how have you tuned in your channels ? by frequency or channel number ? people (including me) with the pvr 150 have had issues with frequences and no sound.

cheers

Many of the pvr 150 drivers have this issue. You could try different ones and see if that helps. There are a bunch over at shspvr.com's ftp site
I'm not always right
GB-PVR 1.2.9
Accent HT-400 Case, AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 1024MB, 1TB+300GB+180GB, WinXP Pro-SP2, NVidia 7600GT
Nova-T USB2, PVR-350 recording from Dilog 355 DVB-T box, USB-UIRT (receiving & transmitting)

thanks for your reply.

which logfile shall I post ? If you tell me where they are then I can
look into it and maybe find a clue what is going wrong.

I have used frequencies, from my Cable-TV supplierlist (with 000000
added since Hz values are required not Mhz)

I gladly retype the 33 channels, but the Cable-TV supplier does not
specify channels, since they are not on grid, example 208 Mhz is a
value, but channel 10 is ???? , 206.25 Mhz ???? I don't even know
how to do the math.

thanks again,
fla

Dont worry about the log files in this case - just try the different drivers. A few PVR150 owners have this problem, and nothing shows in the logs.

That driver seems to have solved my problems from when it was available.
Intermittent no audio.
Occasionally just a pink screen.

I will do that, but its not my preferred way of solving a problem.
I have the latest driver. Why was it created ? Probably to solve a few problems. When I go back to a previous version, then I get them back.
It would be better that the cause of my problem was found and solved.
