Quote:11/27/2006 5:21:38 PM.359 ERROR [4] Error UpdateEPG()'ing: System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
Some error is being returned from the zap2it end.

I'd log in to http://labs.zap2it.com and check that your subscription hasnt expired, and that your channel lineup is still in place. Some users got this error in the past and found their channel lineup had been deleted by zap2it - adding it back in corrected the issue.

I think zap2it changed the channel information on my lineup so that somehow no channels were selected anymore.

I'm also unable to receive updates from Zap2it. A shortened version of the errors reads:

The remote name could not be resolved: 'datadirect.webservices.zap2it.com'

The error suggests checking the EPG source settings. I tried what I think was your suggestion of removing the channel lineup and then trying to reload. All that did was remove all of my channels. Any thoughts on what might be going on? Thanks

From that error, it sounds like you're either having DNS problems, or a firewall is getting in the way, stopping the config app from contacting your DNS to resolve the 'datadirect.webservices.zap2it.com' name to an IP address.

The zap2it connection is now magically working without me doing anything to the firewall. I'm thinking something was happening at their end for a few days(?). Anyway, things are back to nirvana. Thanks for the info.

Now I'm having the exact same problem, also with Zap2It. Good to see that it's hopefully a temporary problem. And I'm glad I found this before I started tinkering with my blessedly stable GB-PVR installations! :-)

EDIT: Oh, nevermind. Mine was actually the first problem mentioned in this thread. Had to renew my Zap2It. Hey, I'm new to this jank. lol
