Hi all

Im in australian and basickly we suck at epg guides. i have one for free to air but id really like one for paytv. But failing that is it possiable to create a xml doc that just lists the channel names and numbers so i can use gbpvr as i have in the past and team it with my usbuirt to change channels on my paytv box.
Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreceated thank you

It'll still work for you with out a guide, but it'll suck more than if you had good guide data. You can manually 'add' channels for those you dont have listings for.

True it will suck with no guide data. But ill settle on having no guide data. Having the channels listed and have the ability to manualy program the recording and have the gbpvr work with the usbuirt so it can change the channel and record the shows i want.

At the moment i use manual programing of wintv and have to either program the cable box to turn channels its self or have it on the channel i want to record.

Now i have tryed editing a xmltv doc to have the channels i need but it didnt list them all any ideas.

I'm not sure why you're trying to edit the XMLTV file. Why dont you just use the 'add' button to manually add these extra channels?

Now that will make things easier.
But i do have one more question is their a way to stop a recording in progress?
Say im watching a show i know its over but like everything these days you have to padd shows to be safe. Is there a way to stop the recording.
If their is please let me know thanks

You can go to the Recordings screen, click pending, then select the 'in-progress' show and hit cancel.
