Tried unplugging the MVP. Still does not work. I doubt it's the IP address issue as I initially install GBPVR 1st and had the same problem before I install the MVP server.
Also tried shutting down the Zone Alarm firewall as well. No success.
Will have to figure out how to try direct lan connection as I do not have a Lan cable that long from my PC to the TV room.

How do I check for the MediaMVPSvc. Tried the Task Manager but do not see it under current Processes running.

Using GBPVR, it only goes as far as configuring for the networking (able to get IP) but always fail to detect streaming server i.e. it never was able to find the preferred server. With MVP server software, this was not an issue. Everything loaded up fine.

if you zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log, I'll see if there is any obvious clues at the GB-PVR end.

Ok, I think I understand better now by the mvp main screen you mean the network setup screen. Are you connecting your gbpvr machine to the wireless router directly or through a second router?

Also are you connecting on a wan port or a lan port?

rigth click my computer-> manage
in the tree pick "services & :confused something", then "services"

You should get a list of all services installed on your machine.

Hauppauge uses two services, Named "MediaMVP... :confused: something"

These should be stopped, or not visible

GBPVR has one service ..GBPVRRecordingService

This should be running.

Hi Sub,
Not sure which file to attach as there were 4 similar files. See attached zip for all of them.

Hi JBYRAM2,
Tried your suggestion. There was no MediaMVP service running except for the GBPVR recording service.

It looks like you've got 'configure this machine to act as a client' selected on the capture sources tab of the config app. You shouldnt.
