error on start up

Hi
I am using a freecom dvb-t usb stick with the drivers loaded form the freecom disc.
I get the following error when I try to satrt up gbpvr in fact this shows when I boot up. Any ideas ? Nothing is working but the list says it should work with the freecom. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds like your database is screwed up. You could try copying empty.db3 over gbpvr.db3 to start with a clean fresh one.

Are you thinking that I have previously been using gbpvr and it has just gone faulty ?
I have never used it before. I just updated my xpsp2 with .net as requested, then, installed gbpvr. As soon as it finishes loading I get the error message shown, or if I try to start config, again the same error. How can I copy the database you mention. Are you meaning just make a blank file with that name ?

Its something that happens for a small number of people immediately after install. I think it relates to manually starting GB-PVR before the config app manages to start automatically at the end of the install.

Just overwrite gbpvr.db3 with a copy of empty.db3 and you should be good to go.

I am not sure wht you mean by overwrite. How can I copy a file with a different name and overwrite a different file when they are both files within the same main folder. If I highlite the file empty.db3 and then highlite the file gbpvr.gb3, paste does not appear. I decided that you must mean copy the contents of empty.db3 so I opened it in notepad, copied the whole text, then opened gbpvr.gb3 with notepad and pasted the text into it and saved it. This however made no difference except it now says something about the databese being encrypted. Have I done this all wrong ?

delete the file called gbpvr.db3. Right click on empty.db3, select 'copy'. Right click in some white space, then select 'paste'. It'll create a file called something like "Copy of empty.db3". Right click on this file and select 'rename'. Give it the name gbpvr.db3.

I also just tried it another way. I made a copy of the file empty.db3. This made a file called copy of empty.db3. I then moved the file gbpvr.db3 onto the desktop and then renamed the file copy of empty.db3 to gbpvr.db3. I then started the config up again but still same result; Or should I to re-boot after this cahnge ?
