It's much easier to explain to the family why there are two episodes of something and delete the 'spare' than trying to explain why their favourite program is missing Smile

sub Wrote:A timeslot season recording effectively tells GB-PVR to recording any shows with the same title, with a start time within +/- 90 minutes of the original recording start time. So if you have two episodes of "Lost" airing within that 180 minute period, then they'll both be scheduled.

This +/- 90 minutes timeslot is to accommodate small changes that occur to broadcast schedules, for example a show playing an hour late one week.
.
I have 2 questions related to this post.

Which part of the config tabs do I use to check if my timeslot variance is set correctly? I have lost shows that record weekly when the network switches the 8 o'clock show and 8:30 show so I am assuming my timeslot variance has been altered.

I also notice that I seem to lose the first minute of a show if I include 1 minute post padding in the show I recorded immediately before that. I assumed that this was because the one tuner could only record one show at a time - my solution was to delete the 1 minute post padding. Is it possible for 1 Win-tv150 to record 2 shows at the same time for a minute or so as suggested by the original post?

Its not usually a setting a user would often change, so its not in the config app. It can be tweaked in the <AllowableTimeslotVariance> setting in config.xml though. The default value is 90 (minues).

I dont think that will be the cause. Padding is considered optional, and dropped entirely if there is another recording scheduled to be using the tuner. You'll probably find the broadcasters schedule is not exact (particuarly if you're in the UK), or their clock is a bit out from yours.

No its not, especially if they on different channels.
