Hi, this is my first post to this forum, rather than waste anyone's time I have already searced for the answer, bt no luck so far. I have a Nova T-500 with latest version of media GBPVR set up on XP SP2 and all updates. I can grab info from RT database and get ticks shown on all selected channels on both tuners that are setup on emley moor. When I go into the main program and try to watch TV, the message no channels are available, go back to config. If I try to do channel mapping the PC just slows to a crawl, takes 2-3 mins to recognise Ctl Alt Del. I have left it running for several hours, but just shows initialising all the time. Wont recognise any muxs when scanned, have tried all the listed ones. Tried new install xp etc, but no change. I presume it is some incompatability with the card or BDA drivers. Any advice much appreciated.

When you go in the 'map digital channels to epg channels' screen, it does a scan for channels, then you have to do a mapping for each channel (listed on the left of the screen). If you dont do this mapping, the channels will be disabled, you'll get this 'no channels' message in GB-PVR.

That seems to be the problem then? Trouble is as described above is the fact that it locks up when mapping. Any ideas what may be causing this, I know its probably a silly multichoice question.

Nothing springs to mind, but if you attach your logs I'll see if I can see anything obvious.

Perhaps before I go and play with it again tonight and get a log, you can spot anything I am doing wrong.

1 - Setup XLMTV GUI for right channels and transmitter etc and download data file from Radio Times site and save file.
2 - Run config and set up both tuners for emley moor uk, card 1 setting used for both tuners "is this correct" Have tried 2nd tuner on 2 also
3 - Point to xl file and download data on each tuner, channels are ticked after this, also shown under channels tab
4 - Run channel mapping. This now locks up or goes so slow as to be unusable, always just shows "initialising".

No channels shown in main program after this.

Is there any step I have missed out here, or havent I read the instructions properly? Any advice gratefully received.

I found the solution. Instead of using XP standard drivers, I used the ones that came with the motherboard. Apart from the occasional lockup, it works fine now. This may be useful to others with similar problems.
