I tried to keep the lof setting as it is and then tried other one that someone posted on this forum but none worked. Now I am using MyTheatre settings but still no luck. I get few Unknown channels like Unknown1, Unknown2, etc

herrmannj Wrote:why do you use different lnb settings in gbpvr and in mytheatre ?

sounds normal:
--> LNBF LOF1: 9750
--> LNBF Switch: 11700
--> LNBF LOF2: 11250

only lof2 is (at least in germany) usual 10600

Sorry, that setting was supposed to be:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Devnz\LogPSIProcessing=2 (DWORD)

Sub,

While I was waiting for ur reply I tried something else. I have 2 antenna dish pointing to 2 different satellites. Each satellite signal comes into the house via seperate cable. So I plugged the second cable in and scanned channels for nimiq 2 satellite. This time I was able to get 30 something channels and used the mdapi plugin to watch those channels.. It works perfectly fine.

But now the problem is that I don't get all the channels on this satellite. I was able to get 83 channels in MyTheatre.

Let me know if u have any insight in this issue. After this issue is resolved I will try scanning the other satellite. May be its some cabling issue.

Thanks again man.

Probably worth doing the registry setting thing, and posting the psi.log file. This will give me an indication what channels GB-PVR sees/doesnt in the stream.

Good to hear you made some progress though.

Are you still on the dish that gave some channels, but not all? If so, can you also post the config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log, and the names of a few of the channels you're not getting?

I can see lots of the channels in the stream, which are hopefully also turning up in the scan results, but I want to take a closer look at the specific ones causing problems to see if I can find anything different.

Looks like all the channels that r missing are HD Channels like VUHD1,VUHD2, DISHD, etc .

Here r the files that u requested. I attached a new psi.log as I reinstalled gbpvr. Files.rar

Ok, thats very interesting.

I've got lots of ideas of how to track it down, but first lets look at the most simple option. GB-PVR has a set of files in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\BDA\DVB-S that list the transponders that need to be scanned on each satellite. I wonder if some transponders are missing from that file.

We've never really had North American DVB users until now, so its possible these files arent a great entirely accurate. If they're HD channels, then there is a good chance they were added in the last couple of years, but I dont remember updating any of these definitions for NA satellites in this time.
