does gbpvr have to be running to record?

does the full gbpvr app have to be running to record, or just the G icon in the taskbar in lower right corner? will computer wake up from standby to record?

You dont have to be running the GB-PVR user interface. It has a recording service that runs in the background.

It will ask windows to wake your machine at the time its due to record.
