Like I said I can preview all channels in the scanning utility. inside gbpvr, most channels show me a blank screen with the message
"no signal detected. Please ensure that the amtenna is connected"
the strength and Quality indicators on that window show green bars intermittently. (shows green bars for around 3 seconds, then shows blank bars and then back to green) I am not sure what is goign on.
Can you try starting GB-PVR, then start live tv. Leave it on the start channel for a 30 seconds, then change to another channel and leave it again for 30 seconds, and then maybe one more time, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log, gbpvr.exe-native.log and the psi.log?

attaching the logs.
the first chanel was displayed properly, the next two was not.
I did some satellite scans before i did this, don't know if that would affect the psi log file.

This pretty much tallies up with what I see in the logs. It looks like GB-PVR is only informing the Multidec layer of the first channel change - so its some logic flaw in my code. I'll take a closer look at the logs and comeback to you.
hi guys - had been out for couple of days.. Nice work going on.
Sub - i tried 4 different codecs and all of them crashes on channel switching. Also clicking pause hangs the system and couple of times i had to power it off. could not get control of the system. Will send u logs soon.
Ashwin - Are u having similar problem? Which codecs are u using?
Guys we r doing fantastic work for people using NA sats. This can become sticky once we resolve all the issues. More and more people using NA sats will switch to gbpvr as it supports mdapi filter.

halcut, I don't have problems changing channels, and I am using Nvidia video and audio filters, and i have an Nvidia 7900GS video card with hardware acceleration enabled.
sub, the interesting thing is the first channel is displayed always, even if i change to it from a channel that is not being displayed. There are some channels that are always displayed in gbpvr and a lot of others where I always get the no signal message. I wonder if it is some quirk in the channel database!

Yeah, post the logs and I'll take a look.
I've now had a couple of friends try out the multidec stuff. No crashes, though one of the guys found his stuttered regularly when using the exact same broadcasts and multidec plugins as I was using. Though we tried another multidec plugin that also coped with this stream type and his problem went away. We think CPU speed was the most likely difference between our two set ups that caused this. I'm not sure how much overhead Agarwal directshow layer adds.
