Its working!

The VA panel seems to be updating. The real test will be when the recordings are over, does the recording image disappear?

Apparently I had not used your patch for NightWalker before my computer crashed.

The recording schedule change event sounds like it would be a good solution. Hopefully, the walls have ears.

Best Regards,

The recording icon should go away when the recording is done. This includes the postpad time by the way so it may show up for a few minutes after the time you expect.

is it possible to have the recordings in the recordingfolder and not in a folder with programname inside the recordingfolder.

when having my recordings in the "root" of recordingfolder, they wount show up in VA, but if i make a folder called "lost" and then move my "lost" recordings to it, they will show up.

Is it possible to use the VA Panel standalone?
When i try, by disable the VA plugin something make viewing recordings or other video files to fail.

Just love the VA Panel, but havent come to understand the VA Plugin fully yet, (hard to teach the wife to use it when i can´t master it myself)

The Panel we both understand thou..

Yes, you can use one without the other. To disable the plug-in, go to the GBPVR plug-ins screen and uncheck the Videos plug-in. The enable/disable of the panel is controlled in the main menu skin.

Thanx, this time it worked..

Now an other question, How do i translate the VAPlugin? i added:
<translate originalText="Upcoming:" translatedText="Kommande:"/>
<translate originalText="at" translatedText="Kl"/>
<translate originalText="to" translatedText="Till"/>
<translate originalText="tomorrow" translatedText="imorgon"/>

to my language file but that dident help.

Right now most of the text is hard coded in the plug-in and not translatable. I will add this ot the todo list.

A new update as been posted at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/VideoArchive

From the change log:
  • Fixed a bug where the play button brought up the video information dialog box rather than directly playing the file.
  • For recordings, the plug-in now looks in the gbpvr\media\art folder (on the server if this is a client) for program images if they are not found in the video archive database or in the folder (as a folder.gif, folder.png, or folder.jpg image) for the show.
  • The video archive panel also looks in the gbpvr\media\art folder for images for pending recordings if not found elsewhere as described above.
  • Filter of viewed files now removes empty directory lists from the display immediately rather than keeping them on screen until you scroll down to them.
  • Added option to delete entire directories in the video display list. By default this is disabled. To enable, check the “Allow directory level delete” option on the display tab. To delete the currently selected directory, press the record key.
  • Added support for running the plug-in on a client. To do so, you must configure the client to have its own local video archive database and check the “Scan for files on each startup” check box on the Basic settings tab for the plug-in. Also, the server must run its own copy of the video archive plug-in and must store its video archive database in the same directory as its GBPVR database (that is, the main gbpvr program folder). You also need to make any folders used to store videos visible to the client (e.g., by sharing them) and you must configure the client’s set of Video and DVD directories as appropriate. Note that you can not just copy the video archive database from the server to the client because the database contains absolute path information for video files that will differ between the server and the client. During the “Scan for files on each startup” processing the client will copy information from the server’s video archive or GBPVR database to its own local database as needed to build a local view of the available video and DVD files.
