I did eventually manage to get that complete file. I've looked at it with a few tools (GB-PVR, TSReader, ProjectX), and it definitly only contains the now/next for ITV1, ITV2, ITV3, Channel4 and More4. The only channels which seem to be transmitting full EPG in that transport stream were ITV4, CITV and E4.

Something odd about how (when?) the different transmitters broadcast the EPG???

I've checked MUX2 a few times over the past couple of hours (using TSReader) and I consistently see ONLY Now/Next for CITV and Film4+1.

I consistently see full EPG data up until 10th Jan. for all other channels.

I just Googled to see if there were any discussions on the various DTV sites about this but no luck.

very weird

actually (and i should have thought of this much earlier) ive dusted off the STB and it's got the same problem, so I guess that is the case.

thanks for your time checking though, appreciated as always.

PS is now and next display on the gbpvr wishlist????

I do want to add it some time in the future, but its a bit different than they way things are currently done (with our beginnings as a analog tv app), so might require a bit of work. I'm not sure exactly when I'll do this.

actually I take that back - the STB has found data up till saturday for ITV1, 2, 3 and more 4 - it just took a few minutes to grab it.

Maybe they are transmitting it in bursts rather than continuously...????

The spec says they have to transmit it the entire EPG every minute (if they transmit it), though I think thats not the cause here. I think they're only transmitting their EPG on other transport stream muxes, not there own, which would cause problems for lots of things.

I'll have a look at some other muxes tomorrow, see if I can spot anything odd going on...

thanks again
