Any plugin/skin authors who still frequent the forums here, but no longer maintian (or wish too) their work?

Please add this code to the top of your related wiki page:
Code:
This Plugin is [[!Unsupported]]

or

This Skin is [[!Unsupported]]

Or post here so that someone else can mark it for you.

Unsupported work will be removed from the left side menu, but wiki pages will remain intact. Links will be available from the Plugin and Skin main pages, and also the Unsupported page.

I started with some educated guesses, but I could be wrong, so please correct me if I did so incorrectly.

Also, If I haven't gotten to them yet, the following code will be added to known plugins/skins that work with the latest release of gbpvr.

Code:
This plugin has been tested with [[!GBPVR_v99_05]]

or

Code:
This skin has been tested with [[!GBPVR_v99_05]]

As the revision level of GB-PVR changes, these tags will clearly show someone looking at these pages what items are compatible.

"Unsupported" plugins and skins can be marked with this tag as well, provided they work of course.

BlueMCE2 skin is now classified as unsupported. I know some still use it, but dottore has mentioned he will no longer maintain this skin in a post somewhere here.

Blue-AM is now classified as unsupported, as Old Dog has stated this is an example skin that he is not going to develop further.

The Pirates skin is now classified as unsupported, as KingArgyle had mentioned that the skin is an example of using images in a creative way and is not fully skinned.

The Advisor skin is now classified as unsupported, as MixMan states on the page itself "Advisor Themes are no longer maintained. New Basic skin and Themes will replace Advisor skin and Themes.'''

While at it... can you make it into sub categories, like the Skin vs. Skin 16x9? so from the side bar, I can look only at skins/plugins which are supported by the latest version (or someone can do the same for their old version)?

thanks Big Grin

Here is the starting rundown of some plugins.....

Appearance by Old Dog.
Old Dog supports his skins and plugins really well. Haven't seen him in a while, but that doesn't mean he is abandoning anything.

Blinky by Rwmech
A relatively new plugin just released.

Bleep Bloop by KingArgyle - Unsupported
Even though GB-PVR started to do system sounds, this plugins works fine KingArgyle mentioned in a thread he is not supporting it further.

Calculator by Smeghead.
I assume it is supported since Smeghead visits these forums regularly. It functions just fine anyway, and I doubt it will ever be a broken plugin.

Calendar by McBainUK
Supported.

CallerID last maintained by Mvandere
Supported.

CDPlayer by Dottore
Supported

ThemesManager by McBainUK - Unsupported

Ok, I am just going to give explanations for marking as Unsupported so I don't have to give blah blah blah on each plugin/skin. Remember, none of these decisions are final and can easily be reversed. I am just making a judgement call based on 6+ months without answers to support requests.

Check Email by Paul Austen - Unsupported.
Almost a year since last here, did not reply to support question.

Picture Library From old wiki - Unsupported.
Causes severe problems with gbpvr v97+

BTW, does "unsupported" mean will not work with current version of GBPVR? Or simple means developer stoped responding or something similar?

Because the first option I think is the more crucial one.

I will support it if there are questions / issues, thing is it's so simple that there haven't been any for months now. Also the skinning of it is relativelly simple, I have made as much configurable from the skin as I can.

Any suggestions welcome.

I second the question from madcat, what does "unsupported" mean?

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Category/Unsupported

Quote:These Plugins/Skins are no longer being currently developed or supported by the plugin author(s).

Many of these Plugins/Skins may function without problems, however, in some cases they may be unstable, or cause errors. They are provided “as is” and may no longer function as GB-PVR is developed further.

To find out what is compatible when this is all cleaned up...On the main plugin or skin page you will see

Quote:The current version of GBPVR is GBPVR_v99_05.

The following plugins and skins are known to work with this version:

<Table of contents>

Realistically, anything that will remain on the left side menu will be compatible with the latest release because the developer is still around supporting it. To my knowledge, there are no incompatible plugins that are still supported. The My Series plugins (from wiki, not Reven's site), Photos, and Picture Library are the only ones I know of right now that absolutely will not work.

The theater plugin is half broken right now due to Fandago changes and I am working on it, just the holidays and work have slowed me down alot. I'm hoping once things slow down I can get back into it.
