ATI 550 Pro chipset and Radio acting strange

Hi All,

I have been reading for a while and cant seem to find an answer to my question. Maybe this needs to go into hardware?

I have finally configured GBPVR with basic functionality and live TV works a treat but when I go into Radio and start a scan, all I can hear is the Audio from Live TV as it scans and and no Radio. In fact it dosent detect any radio channels.

Any ideas???

I dont think GB-PVR can use the FM radio on an ATI 550 card, so you just end up getting audio from the last channel.

Not 100% accurate sub.

I have a 550 Pro also and if I do a scan I get nothing but static.
But if I manually add the stations that I listen to it works fine.

But if I do a scan after that I get nothing, I can't even play the manually added stations. I have to exit GBPVR and go back in for my manually added stations to work again.

Ok, I'll take your word for it. I cant test it at the moment because I dont have an ATI 550 in my machine currently

I don't know if I've ever tried scanning channels with my 550.
there are so many radio stations my PVR150 took forever to scan through them all.
When I got my 550 I just added my favorites manually.

Don't know how different they are, but I use a 650 and just manually added my favorites. To me, it was faster than scanning.

I have scanned with GBPVR for FM Radio on 550 Pro and it did work. It take some time to go through all channels and it depends in the signal which every channel have at the time of scan. A weak signal might be the problem as GBPVR will just ignore it and go further.

To use theater 550 pro FM Radio feature you will need to have the correct driver installed. In GraphEdit or Media Player Classic you can see the first part is "TVTuner property Page" which you control channel (frequence for radio), country, input (cable or antenna) and tuning mode (radio or TV). That last is the important one for Radio to work.
