Urrrk.

I think you hit the nail on the head.

I just tried the other MUXs with TSReader. If I combined what I can see of guide data for Film4+1 over all of them, it's possible that it's all there.

What fun - a jigsaw puzzle.

Yeah, I suspect thats the case. I should be able to cope with this with some minor changes. I'll have a look into this tomorrow.

OK, I'll throw this into the mix then.
I put the EPG update on to 300second harvest before I went to bed - and guess what - full data in the morning. So Im guessing that they are transmitting in bursts of less than 5min, but more than 2min.
The reason I tried this is because all the muxes in the UK are owned seperately by the different companies, so I thought 'whats more likely'? Are the channels buying data space for their epg of other companies, or messing around with the DVB standard and not transmitting data continuously....

Just my thoughts though, maybe it's coincidence and they fixed it at the same time....

According to the post immediately above yours, it works fine if you increase the harvest delay to something like 300 seconds. ITV is supposed to be transmitting their complete listings each 60 seconds, but they dont seem to be, which is why you need to make this change. Bit painful to sit and watch, but you normally wouldnt be doing that.

Are there any future plans for GBPVR to harvest EPG info from the mux 'live'? ie while watching TV or recording. Some other apps do this well - DVBViewer in particular seems very good at this, even with our weird UK channels Wink

The reason I ask is that I don't tend to leave my PC on when I'm not using it, so a timed EPG update isn't always convenient. I understand if this isn't exactly high up your list of priorities though...

It'd be nice, but probably not any time soon. The reason for this is because of the way the software evolved from an analog TV app, with EPG plugins to import listings at a set time from xmltv or zap2it.

Sorry for my stupidity but I really have no idea how to change the harvest delay, I may well be missing something obvious but I can't find an option for it in any menus.

thanks in advance for any help.

Its mentioned earlier in this thread. Its controlled using the <DvbEpgHarvestDuration> setting in config.xml. It defaults to 60 seconds, which is adequate for most locations, but not the ITV channels.
