You did download and mdapifilter.ax and FFDecsa.dll as per the instructions, and register mdapifilter.ax?

Yes I did download them and registered mdapifilter.ax. It worked for a while when I was testing different plugins. By worked in this case, I only mean that I got the icon in the system tray....

In the beginning I had no clue what I was doing and wich plugin I had to use. So I was doing some kind of blindtests and moving different plugins to the folder to see the reaction, and deleting them whan I didn't get the desired effect. Somewhere there something happened... When I choose "TV" now, I get a message box saying "Sorry for the inconveniance but GB-pvr has gone to the pub and needs to close." Well maybe not exactly that, but somethings along the way. This message comes when the icon is being loaded. If I do nothing GB-pvr continues to load the program in the back but the filter does not work. If I choose OK, GB-PVR closes.

I've tried to look at the logs but can't find anything.
I use the mdapifilter dated dec 6, but I guess that I just as well could use the newest one?? I have placed the filter in the gbpvr folder but it doesn't really matter, as it's registred by regsvr32??

BTW, A neat trick: If you use regsvr32 a lot. Put a shortcut in your users "Send To" folder. This way you can right click on a file and use "Send to" regsvr32 and register any dll like file on the spot. Cool

Quote:22:21:48.713 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - BDA MPEG2 Transport Information Filter
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Sections and Tables
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - GB-PVR WST SRT Digital
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - GB-PVR PSI Parser
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - MPA Decoder Filter
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - MPV Decoder Filter
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - GB-PVR Flow Status
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - MDAPI Filter
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - Pinnacle PCTV 310i BDA Digital Capture
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - Pinnacle PCTV 310i BDA DVBT Tuner
22:21:48.713 VERBOSE - Microsoft DVBT Network Provider
The MDAPI filter seems to be there, so you should also have the icon that goes with it. Maybe its being auto hidden by Windows? see the little arrow thing.

Quote:So beside the mdapi filter-files you need to have a Boxer card (orginal), a reader that can be set in phoenix-mode (I use mp3.5) a cardserver (newcs 1.20 RC13) and yankse 1.3
I'm fairly sure I've seen others using vplug with boxer - so probably worth trying.

It works well in MediaPortal... And even if I only have ffdecsa in the folder it crasches.
Or to be precise, I think it's the mdapifilter.ax that crasches. I have the Icon, thats right. It's when that is loaded I get the exeption.

I cant gaurantee anything when it comes to multidec plugins. If one doesnt work for you, then you might just have to try some alternative plugin.

Yes, I know. But I havn't got a clue how to get vplug to work. I tried it and the filter crashes with that as well. And as MP seems to use the mdapifilter the same way as GBpvr, I just change the operating files in the gbpvr folder. It did load as it supposed to do at one time, so I think something happened. My one priority was to get it to work. So I tested in MP as I won't use it and if that gets messy it wont matter. (Sad I learnt that lesson after GBpvr got messy...)

I know it will work. I will try some stuff when I can get a couple of minutes alone by the tv... Wink

Yeah, sounds like you've got something screwy going on, but I cant really think what. I've not seen a problem like you're describing, or seen any other reports of it.

Usually if a multidec plugin is going to work it just does nothing, not crash.

If you have no files in the multidec plugins directory, does it at least show the multdec tray icon without crashing?
