I just installed GBPVR (latest version) and let it run for a few days, recording shows the family likes. Yesterday I went into recorded shows - yeah it works - 21 recorded shows - or so I thought.

Every show I click on only provides two options: 'Delete' and 'Close'

I can watch live tv, pause, and supposedly record tv, but can't playback any recorded shows!!!

I am running a brand new dell, Pent 2.8 with 1G ram and 160GB sata drive. Geforce 5700 and Hauppauge PVR150 on windows xp pro.

Thoughts anyone?

After I uninstalled GBPVR, hauppauge drivers, codecs and all related apps. I searched my entire hard drive for all media files. This is strange, there are NO recorded shows on my hard drive anywhere, even though the gbpvr dbase showed ~21 shows recorded.

I reinstalled everything, using only latest drivers. It seems the buffer folder and the videos folder are both listed as 'C:\Temp'

Could it be that when these folders are the same gbpvr deletes the temp file (buffer file) when it's done recorded, but since its the same folder as the videos folder, it deletes everything with nothing saved? Possible bug here?

I thought gbpvr deleted any shows it can't find from its dbase? Not in my case.

I changed every folder to something unique and am trying a different recording now.

Let us know how you get on.
Nb the video folder is not the same as the recordings folder.
It might be a good idea to set up the folders properly in: gbpvr-config-directories.

Thanks for the reply. When I first configured gbpvr, I set all directories in the config 'directories' tab to 'c:\temp'

I just wanted to test gbpvr to see how it worked. I figured the program would use tmp files for live tv buffer and there would be no problem stuffing everything into one directory.

It's recording Oprah for the wife right now. I'll check back shortly to let you all know how I made out.
Thanks.

It appears that changing the directories for recordings and buffering, as well as music, videos, and photos to unique names (i.e. not the same one for all) fixed my problem.

I am now able to record and playback manual and scheduld recordings without any problems.
