I'm trying to get a nova-t pci card working under GB-PVR but I can't find the card type I need in

GB-PVR Configuration -> Capture Sources -> Add -> Recording source -> Capture Card Type.

Which one should I be using? The card is installed and working fine with the supplied Hauppuage software (WinTV2000)

Thanks for any help Smile

Is this the original old Nova-T model? If so, you'll need to install BDA drivers. Newer model comes with BDA drivers by default.

I've no idea, but the card is probably a few years old. I'm looking but do you have any links to these BDA drivers?

If its a few years old, then it is most likely the older model.

From memory, owners of this device needed to use the TechnoTrend DVB-T Budget BDA drivers from www.technotrend.de. This older Nova-T device was a rebadged TechnoTrend Budget DVB-T device. Newer Nova-T devices are based on a different chipset, and different drivers.

I think its http://technotrend-online.com/download/s....10.17.zip

(my disclaimer... I dont own this device, so have never done this myself)

Thanks for the all help so far, but after digging back out my PC after burying it under the tv I've found the nova-t card is one of the newer hauppauge cards with a contextant chip. It's labelled a nova-t dvb 90002, has two coaxial connectors and came with winTV2000.

So I'm back where I started (ish) which card should this be selected as from the drop down menu -> Capture Card Type or perhaps I need more drivers???

Thanks again for any responses Smile

you don;t have to have a mpeg multiplexer, though many prefer to use one. You can get the ball rolling by recording into dvr-ms format.

If it is a recent card and works with wintv2k, you should just select nova-t pci from the config options, define your epg, click on "update epg" and then map channels. It may ask you to save your settings between some of these steps and possible close and restart the config. I can;t remember exactly.

Have you set the capture source to use the 'BDA Recording Plugin'? I suspect not and you're probably looking at the list of analog cards (Direct Recording Plugin).
