Dangers of Web Streaming?

I have gbpvr setup to allow access to computers on my local network. Going out of town for a few days and wanted to try streaming. But that would mean allowing computers from the Internet access to the port. Any serious risks with this? Should I use the default port or something else? Thanks for the help!

Depending on you technical skills, you could always set up an ssh tunnel and let all you traffic go through it, if you are worried.
