Yeah, in the BlastCFG it runs just like it should, the LED blinks the set number of times I specified, it changes the channel on the satellite receiver with little delay. In WinTV and in GB-PVR though...it doesn't do $h!t.
I am honestly not sure what is happening, it seems like the setting are not getting saved in blastcfg, even though there is no save (sorry I just went and ran it, since its been a while). try messing around with the settings in blastcfg and see if it works with haupblast I guess.
To be honest, I think you might be out of luck. I think you're the first person to try using the HVR1600 IR Blaster with GB-PVR. Unfortuntaley it must be slightly different to the way it works with the PVR150.

I'll try emailing Hauppauge to ask them.
Anyone know how I can get it working with WinTV then?
Sorry, I can't help either. I received an HVR1600 for Beta testing but they didn't send a blaster or jack panel adapter so we couldn't test the Blaster or multiple video inputs.
Hauppauge came back to say its exactly the same as the PVR150 one, and the existing code should work unchanged. I'm not really sure what else to suggest.
I'm not sure if you got your problem resolved yet or not but I figured I would post. I am also using a hvr-1600 and finally got it to control my cable box through gbpvr. I actually just got it working by using the guidance given to you in this post.
It wasn't working until I copied and pasted the following line directly from this topic into the gbpvr configuration screen.
