There appears to be a bug in the TV guide regarding the new "reminder" type of listing. it does obey the showStatusColor setting.

this is what happens in the blue skin

showStatusColor = true makes everything in the channel section of the guide work fine, shows are displayed in their defined colors at all times (whether or not they are selected)

showStatusColor = false, listings are only displayed in their defined color only when they are selected and are normal the rest of the time. Except for reminders, they seem to be treated like "normal" listings)

the color for reminders is not used in the timeline, but the color for a scheduled recording is, only if the whole block is visible in the timeline (eg. hour long show with only 1/2 hour visible on the guide, does not get highlighted in the timeline)

I have no idea what happens with conflicts, I dont have any

I brought this up in this thread

This was the intended behaviour.

I wasnt able to reproduce this. It should it do it even if only small part of the show is visible. Can you give me a detailed description of the scenario so I can check it here?

This wasnt intended, but it happened for me also when I tested it just now. I hadnt personally tried it with showStatusColor=false for probably a couple of years. I've made the modifications so that the status colours are never shown when this is set to false, regarless of whether its selected.

exactly what I said, tried this on the blue skin, have two shows set to record, one from 9-10, one from 10-11, the guide was showing 8:30-10:30, only the 9-10 show is highlighted, the 10-11 show isnt. if I move the guide over to 9:30 to 10:30 it acts as you say it should.

interestingly enough, I went to change the skin in the system/settings screen, and when I tried to change the skin I got an array out of bounds exception (or equivalent error). my skin happens to be the last one in the list, it worked fine from the blue skin.

sounds like the same problem i was having with the daily show..
[the not showing in timeline at top]
seems to only happen on shorter shows, and sometimes only if they start or end at non-boundary minutes, like 10:01 etc.

hard to reproduce cuz some do, some donn't..
always seems to happen for me with certain shows...

but sounds like pretty much same thing i mentioned in another thread..

oh and mine is showing one now...entire show is in sight, but nothin in timeline for it..and there's a previous program in timeline that is showing...
it's a re-occuring recording if that makes any difference.
just checked, and both the re-ocuring and single show are both even numbers, eg: 12:00 am to 12:30 am
maybe the date beginning/ending doing it?

I just tried to reproduce this here, but it seemed to work ok for me. Can you do it, then zip and attach your logs?

What skin was it?

Annoyingly I dont seem to able to reproduce this either, but I have tried several times. I'm sure there must be some other key bit of info we're missing.

How easy are you able to reproduce it? Are you able to start GB-PVR, go to the TV Guide, move forward a few hours, schedule a couple of recordings, then return to the main menu, then reenter the TV Guide and move right until only part of the program should be showing?

ALRIGHT, sorry for the delay in posting my reply (been kinda busy, homework I didnt even know I had till yesterday)

but i have good/definitive news, I can reproduce both problems easily. and have both missing bits of information. Smile

error in settings screen, related to extra folders in the skins folder, if a folder exists, but does not contain a skin the current skin index still acts as if it did (shifts one item for each invalid folder).

for the TV guide, I am displaying 3 hours of guide data, not 2, and i can easily reproduce by switching between displaying 2 and 3 hours in the guide.
