The below was to be my post but I have since rectified the issue with record/playback via multiple devices. Don't ask me how
This is for historical reference to my next post/issue which will follow shortly.
Firstly, I have searched the various threads & Wikipedia to no avail for any satisfactory answers.
I had a perfectly working single 150MCE tuner system. Today I bought & installed a second, identical card. I installed it using the same drivers' set as the first. There are no conflicts or IRQ issues.
After installation I had no sound from the 2nd card. I verified this by reconfiguring the channels so some were on the first, & others on the second one. I removed both cards from GBPVR config & redid them. This solved the sound issue.
However, I am unable to use LiveTV if I am recording; it comes up with the usual 'there are no available tuners, yada yada ya'. I can record using both cards & then if I try LiveTV, it gives me the option of watching either of the recording programmes. Also, the tray icon verifies both devices are recording.
When I set update EPG (grabbed using XMLTVNZ.exe) from within gbpvr app it will only update the first device which leaves an entire set of channels vacant in the TV Guide screen -see below. This also adds an extra set of channels to one of the devices (device #2); ie. I have extra copies of all channels showing in the channels' setup area of Device #2 of the capture sources tab of gbpvr config -see below.
Can I remove the duplicate channels from displaying from within the TV Guide? I have tried manually removing them from the channels tab within gbpvr config with no success. I have tried unchecking the enable box within the edit capture source but that will make the device disappear using gbpvr.
I have just finished a dual record from separate channels with no success: the first recording is good; the second one is just static. I have tried scrolling through all the channels in gbpvr & a couple do show just static (I have since rectified this). I entered LiveTV & tried removing the aerials on the various channels, but I assume it would be using the same device for all channels unless it is required for same-time recording or recording/LiveTV. What am I doing wrong  FIXED.
