Best way to stream over internet?

I got EWA and installed it, but it seems like this utility is for me to broadcast video on the web, what I'm looking for is the opposite.
My friend is broadcastings TV using AV Broadcaster and VLC, I want to play that stream in GBPVR, can EWA do that?
The way I have it right now is through VLC, by entering his IP address and Port.

This plugin may be what you are after.

I am having the same problem. The video starts to stream ( maybe the first 2 seconds) and then stops.

Any other ideas? Do I have to upgrade connection?

Post a screen shot of your stream settings.

What is your up bandwidth with your ISP?

Do you have the problem on your local network (assuming you have one in your house) or is it just remotely?

I have ATT Pro package. When I get back home I will do a bandwidth test. Here is my upload rate 384 to 512.

Streaming works great over the network, just not remotely.

Did you forward the port(s) in your router and/or open them in your firewall(s)?

I have it port forwarded. I think its just a bandwidth issue. Does anyone else think that too?

With an upload of 384-512 I think you might probably not be able to go higher than 256 kbps.
