I was trying to set a record once option for American idol coming on tonight so this morning I went into the tv guide (actually also tried last night a couple of times) anyway in the tvguide I found the correct time and it said america IDOl. If I selected it and did a normal record I selected High record once and 3 min and 3 min. and hit OK. All the information in those screens looked correct but when I went into the pending recordings screen it showed that I was recording Crocodile hunter at the time and same channel of IDOL??? weird so I deleted and did a quick record and all the information saved just right. I was able to repeat this several times because i wanted High Quality. Now I tried this afternoon and removed croc hunter and added it all in over again and it worked as suspected. Now my Zap2it update was at 5 am I tried this morning at 7am and it finally worked around 1pm. So what was the cause of this?
I also ran into another issue in the guide where quick record would work but if I tried to setup a season recording or same timeslot weekly it would not let me do it on like CSI but going to another channel same time and it would let me set this type of recording for a different show. Is my Zap2it getting corrupted or something? thanks for the help.

I just noticed this same problem too.

In the last couple of days since I installed the latest version, I only used "Quick Record" which worked fine 100%.

Now I tired to do "Season Record" and noticed that the two shows I tried to record the season for ("30 Rock", and "The Office") showup with different names in the "Recurring" section of the recordings (they show up as "Access Hollywood", and "EXTRA"), so I delete it, and tried again, same thing happened.

Note that I use the default "Medium Quality", but use "Record all episods in same timeslot weekly".

Note that when I did the same for "American Idol" it worked fine yesterday and shows up fine too.

This is bugging me, since now the only way to record these two shows is to use "Quick Record" everyweek before I leave to work, which defeats the purpose Sad

Any help??

Someone else noticed the same thing?

Update:
The title of the recording is correct when you list "Pending", but it is not correct when you list "Recurring".

Also the show does record correctly on time.

So looks like it is a title display issue in the "Recurring" window.
Not a big deal as long as the show records correctly, but can confuse you if you have lots of recurring shows and want to delete some you will not know which is which because the title is not correct.

Anyone saw similar issues?
Fix?

Nothing springs to mind.

Have you recreated a capture source since recently, or maybe adjusted you channel line up? These are the only types of things I could think of that would lead to this type of problem.

I just tried doing a couple of "Quick Record" shows, and noticed that my "Pending" list is messed up:

- Many shows listed with the worng title (belonging to different time).
- In the pending list, the show time is shown maybe as 5:00AM to 5:30AM, but when I click the item (to get more details), it shows maybe 5:00PM to 5:30PM
- In some case, the difference between what is shown on the list compared to what is shown in the details (after you click it) is not just simple AM to PM mistake, but it could be instead of 1:00AM it wil display maybe 11:30AM.
- I cannot see a pattern of the difference between "pending lsi" and actual details (after you click it). It look kinda random, but MOST of them suffer from AM to PM swap.

I will wait and see what gets actually recorded, is it the time listed in the 'pedning' or in the 'details'.

Note that in the TV Guide, the red markings are always correct (corresponding to what I selected), but the mess happens in 'pending list' and in 'details'.

Note also that I did update my zap2it listing successfully, and the TV Guide displays shows correctly.

Any idea what this could be?
Is it the database?
I have no clue how GBPVR intrnally works, so maybe some explanation could be helpful to root cause the issue.

Logs could be ehlpful? (I am not sure if they will be, as I record a lot of shows, and the timings could be confusing).

Any suspect file/setting?

Can you zip and email your database to me at support@devnz.com and I'll take a look.

Ok, will do when I get home this evening.
Where is the databse located?
I guess it is not going to be hard finding it, the folder/file names are clear enough Smile

Its in the GB-PVR directory, and usually called gbpvr.db3 but old time users of gbpvr that havnt changed database may still be using one called gbpvr.mdb.

email sent.

Thanks sub for taking the time to look into this.

My recorded section is now almost un-usable, as all titles and displayed times are wrong and I do not know which is which.
Also the guide itself now not showing red background correctly on the requested shows, like it is time and date shifted or something.

Gemini,

Can you tell me if you used GB-PVR's built-in TV Guide screen to schedule this 'House Hunters', or TV Listing plugin, or EWA, or something else?

I can clearly see the wrong program identifier in the database against this recording. I've never seen an occurance of this with the TV Guide screen, but we have seen a few occurances of this with the TV Listings plugin.

If it was with the built in TV Guide, how do you update you EPG? is it via the automatic EPG update, or do you run a command line mechanism for updating it? I might need to get you to take a backup copy of your gbpvr.db3 daily, along with the logs, so that I can investigate when these program identifiers are getting mixed up.
