I love the plugin!

Just one small bug I have noticed however - the default setting for preview or timeshift mode doesn't seem to work. I prefer to use timeshift mode and play the audio through the GB-PVR default player however if I select timeshift mode as the default when I click on a station the default is still preview mode.

Other than that I love it!

The "default playback" setting on the config panel is used to set the default playback mode when you click the Play button on the menu or press the Play button on your remote control. It doesn't affect which button is highlighted on the popup window that comes up when you click (or press Enter) on a station in the list. (Maybe it should. I'll think about it for the next release).

Btw - you have to exit and restart GB-PVR to pick up the new config settings (including the default playback mode).

If I've misunderstood and/or this doesn't answer your question, let me know.

Glad you're enjoying the plugin otherwise.

Ahh that works fine now. I was simply pressing OK out of habit rather than just pressing play. I'm actually only using timeshift mode because I didn't reinstall HIP on my PVR when I rebuilt it and just use the standard MCE remote driver. There doesn't seem to be a way to get out of the windows media/realplayer/vlc screen once a stream starts with the remote. Pressing 'esc' on a normal beyboard does but the MCE driver doesn't do this and I simply haven't bothered to reinstall HIP just to remap one key.

I too love the ubuRadio! Just a few comments\suggestions\hints.

To increase or decrease volume, use the up and down arrows on either side of the okay button (hauppauge 45 button remote) and use the back\exit button to go back one menu screen.Very logical when you think about it but if you have added a station and want to add another, you need to use that logic to know to press the back\exit key.

Because the program uses windows media player, the next comment is likely a media player comment and not a gbpvr comment. I like the lovely designs on the computer monitor but I usually have that screen turned off unless I am fixing something so I will need to research to see if I can get windows media player to display on the TV in the same manner as GBPVR.

I'm still working on enabling the Vol Up/Down buttons on the remote when using the internal players (Preview mode). Most of the other keys work fine. eg: You can stop and restart the stream with the Stop and Play buttons (Ctrl-S, Ctrl-P on the keyboard). The Pause button (Ctrl-Q) works on some streams. The Mute button (M) works but not the Volume buttons.

In Timeshift mode, all remote buttons work exactly like the rest of GBPVR.

Not sure what you mean about the Back button. Pressing the Back button (as with most of the GB-PVR UI) will close a popup, if it's displayed, or go back one screen. When you add a station, the popup closes so you are looking at the list of streams from which you invoked it. Pressing Back will return you to the list of stations so, if you want to, you can choose another one to add.

If you want the player to behave exactly like the rest of GB-PVR, use Timeshift mode for playback. The only downside to this is a slightly longer delay in the station starting to play and that not all streams can be transcoded to use this mode. However most WMP streams will work fine with Timeshift.

That said, it occurs to me that I should probably provide a "hide player when using preview mode" option in the config window. I have this available in UbuStream but left it out of UbuRadio in an attempt to keep config options to a minimum. I'll add it in the next release.

[quote=ubu]Not sure what you mean about the Back button. /QUOTE]

When I open the program, I have the choice of favourites, find station or main menu. If I choose find station, find one and then add it or play it, and then want to find and add another station, I need to press the back\exit button to reach the menu with favourites or find station, because the menu displayed when you add or play a menu offers play, stop, display webpage or add. None of those options returns you to the main webradio menu that has favourites, find or main menu (gbpvr). If you want to look for another station or if you want to return to the main menu of gbpvr or the main menu of webradio, you press exit-back, a logical choice, but you need to know that's the button to press. For new users, it would be nice to have a "return to previous menu" or "main menu" button on the play, stop, web or add menu but it is not necessary as long as you know enough to press the back-exit button.

I am really looking forward to hearing what is important in other parts of the world and I am so happy you created this plugin. thank you

Well, I see what you mean but I'm not clear why you need to go back to the UbuRadio root menu each time. When I'm adding stations, I navigate to the station I'm interested in, select one of its streams, press Play on the popup menu, then (if I like it) I press Add. Then I press the Back button to redisplay the stations, choose another one and repeat the process. I only go back to the root menu when I've finished adding all the stations I want.

You're probably right, though. I should minimally add a Prev Menu button to the station menus. I'm just so used to using the Back button (or Esc when I'm using the keyboard) to navigate that I forget that there's any other way to do it.

Where is it pulling the list of streams from? I would like to use the same list while I'm at the office. I installed Uburemote on my laptop but don't see any of the stations.

Great plugin, works fine for my MVP setup.
