I am running GP-PVR (latest version) on a Windows XP OS with a Hauppauge PVR-350 card. Everytime I access LiveTV, a timeshift file gets created and builds. I have the LiveTV Preview mode selection set, but can not get GB-PVR to stop creating the Timeshift file. Any assistance would be appreciated.

If you're using the PVR350's hardware decoder, then its stuck in permanent timeshift mode. The fix is to set the hardware decoder setting to 'none - use software decoding', then you'll be able to use live preview mode.

Thank you for your reply. I will try that. Is there anyway to still use the Hardware decoding without being in permanent timeshift mode? My guess is that I will take a performance hit with Timeshifting by using software decoding.

No there isnt.

I stopped supporting the PVR350 TV out and adding features for it almost two years ago, which was a few months before I added the live preview mode to GB-PVR.

The hardware decoder on this device is more trouble that its worth - you're better off using software decoding.

I tried your suggestion and it does work, however I am not able to get video to display on my television using software decoding. Is there a trick to get video to show on the TV in addition to or instead of the computer monitor?

Also - Which TV Tuner card would you recommend for best results with GB-PVR?

You'd need to use a video card with tv out to display on your TV. The PVR350's TV out only works with its hardware decoder.
