Audio and video don't seem to sync up right.

Is there any setting I need to enable to make sure they sync up correctly, or do I just have a crappy multiplexer and should start looking for a new one?

Its most likely related to the audio/video decoder combination you're using. If you're ATSC/DVB capture device, then yeah, a crappy mux could cause this also.

When I run the muxchecker program that I found in one of the sticky threads, it says I don't have any installed. The program DOES work, and synchronization is OK on some channels (although sometimes the video skips and then starts to lag behind the audio).

Any ideas what could be going on?

You have audio and video decoder set to "system default". Who knows what happens then? Smile Try explicitly setting them to some value, for me it usually works best with the same audio and video decoder.

Actually, I'm currently using an AC3 filter and some video decoder that starts with an E. I wonder why my logs say otherwise. Maybe I haven't opened up the program since I switched to them. I don't know.

Do you have any recommendations for other decoders I could try?
