The WAF is in negative numbers at this point. Of course GB-PVR recorded the Oscars on Sunday just like I told it to. Except that it took me at my word and recorded the program slot that the EPG had downloaded from Zap2it, not taking into account the "standard" 2 hour overrun. So we missed the last two hours.

Would anybody who recorded it be prepared to let me have copy? Save my marriage? Prove to SWMBO that GB-PVR really is better than Tivo? Please?

I think I'll write an EPG post-processor that will add 2 hours to the duration of any show with the string "Oscars" in its name.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. But try explaining that to her!

Anyway, did you record it? Can you let me have a copy? :p

It was actually not a rhetorical question, I was really wondering whether tivo had some magic means of finding out delays Smile I guess I got my answer Smile

No, I did not record the oscars, sorry. But I'd let you have a copy if I did. Feel better now? Wink

Actually, the wife works with a guy who recorded it on his TiVo and apparently its EPG listing did take into account the anticipated overrun. (Go figure!) This guy's incredible though. He's a software engineer but claims he can't give my wife a copy of the Oscars because he "can't figure out how to hook his VCR up to his TiVo"!!!!!!!

So that's why I'm out to prove that my "friends" on the GB-PVR forums are a lot nicer than her co-worker. I'm sure someone will share their recording with me.

I have the last hour and 15min. We watched live up to that point then went to bed. It was late in our time zone. Let me know if that is acceptable.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. Zap2it had 3 hours scheduled and that's what I have.

That would be great. (Anything is better than nothing. Smile ). Is the mpeg file small enough to zip and attach here? Or you could email it to me. Or ftp at ftp.ubusys.com .

Thanks very much.
