I am new to GBPVR. I installed a WinTV-PVR-150MCE in an IBM P4 3.2Gig with 2Gigs Ram running XP Sp2.
Originally I installed SageTV and everything worked just fine. When it came time to pay the $80.00 license fee I went in search of something cheaper to get me by until I upgrade to Vista. I was extatic when I found GBPVR.
My problem is that I get primarily greem pixels with a picture that looks a little like the original Predator in the jungle.
Anyone have a suggestion to get me a viewable picture?
A screen shot is attached.

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

What video decoder and renderer do you have selected on the playback tab of the config app?

System Default for both decoder and renderer. Where will I find the log files?

You'd be best to explicitly select the default, rather than relying on the random 'system default'. If you dont have any other options listed, then your problem is probably because you dont have a compatible MPEG2 decoder installed.

There is no "default" renderer. You have to have either Overlay, VMR7, VMR9, VMR9 Custom or VMR9 Fullscreen

I'm pretty sure it'll be your video decoder. Try one other than the system default, and other than the 'Sonic Cinemaster® DS Video Decoder' which it is currently using. This is not a common decoder, and is the most likely cause of this sort of problem.

If that doesnt help try the Overlay video renderer also.

You are a genius. Changing the video decoder made this system work a perfectly as I could want it to.

thanks
