I just want to say I am happy GBPVR user. I love this new youtube feature. Unfortunately I have not been successful in getting the sound to work for youtube. It works just fine when I'm watching live or record tv. I'm using a Real Magic XCard which gives superb quality.

I just hope there is a way I can fix my no sound issue in regards to youtube. I would love any support please. Thank you.

You might need to tweak the <YouTubeFFmpegTranscodeCmdLine> setting in config.xml to get it working with your xcard. If its missing sound, I'd say it doesnt like the "-acodec mp3 -ac 2 -ab 128" part of the setting. Maybe try "-acodec mp2 -ac 2 -ab 128" instead.

I had video and audio trouble with youtube when i played it back from the recordings dir after being converted. I know that sounds weird.
This is what I ended up with so everything worked ok.

Code:
<YouTubeFFmpegTranscodeCmdLine>-y -i "{SOURCE_FILE}"    -target ntsc-vcd -bf 2 "{DEST_FILE}"</YouTubeFFmpegTranscodeCmdLine>

You might also try changing your audio decoder as a test.

I should also mention that when I attempt to play back the files from the youtube folder, whether it's playing through the real magic xcard or windows media player through my other sound card, there is no sound either way.

I have done as both of you have suggested. I tried changing the command lines both ways as advised. I tried every single audio decoder available and still youtube sound will not project. I can when the video begins there is a short click noise then no sound. Any ideas?

Try playing the flv file in vlc. See if there is sound there.
The flv file should be in your recordings dir.

I am now using this command line

<YouTubeFFmpegTranscodeCmdLine>-y -i "{SOURCE_FILE}" -b 3400k -acodec mp2 -ac 2 -ab 128 -f svcd "{DEST_FILE}"</YouTubeFFmpegTranscodeCmdLine>

I'm still not able to get sound to play through GBPVR directly but the sound does play in VLC media player. Any suggestions to get the sound to play in GBPVR for youtube?
