Quote:For example does the Nova-SPlus have a CSA chip or am I forced to use CPU.
The CSA stuff is all done in software with GB-PVR, using ffdecsa,dll, regardless of what card or multidec plugin you're using.

Quote:How do I setup vplug so it stops bitching about missing keys (since it seems to have the keys I need for the channels I want)?
Unfortunately, this discussion is crossing over the line of what cant be discussed here on the GB-PVR forums. You'd really need to ask questions like this on other forums (http://dvbn.happysat.org for example).

Try

LOF1 9750
SW 11300
LOF2 10600

I think the above are the commonest settings for Ku Band LNBs.

Kev

Soccerdad has been helping me setup my sat card in another thread. He mentioned that he's using:

LOF1= 11250 mhz, 0 =switch and O =LOF 2.

And he's located in South Carolina, US. Not sure if that's much help.

Really? Wow....I read it that if you had a card with CSA it would all be handled by the card....So is the difference then that the card would just handle MORE than a card without? IE identical setup but Nexus vs Nova the Nova machine would carry a larger load on the CPU?

Excellent! I will try that again when I get back into it (going to order up some parts before going forward with DVB so I have a test machine and a live one..Otherwise I get 15 minutes a day before wife gets home...hahaha).

Thanks for the settings though! I believe that is the way it "should" be setup based on all the reading I have done, however the settings I posted DO work as well...My missing channels are due to another problem I believe.

Thats only the case if you're using real CAM modules. When you use multidec, you're using softcams and everything is done in software.
