I have comcast cable on a coax connection and the supplied software is terrible.
I live in zip code 60013. maybe someone from around here knows something i don't.

Yes it is plugged in properly and i did have this connected to my tv before i hooked into theatre card.

Your tuner card probably defaults to off-the-air NTSC tuning parameters. You need to figure out a way to configure it to use cable tuning parameters instead.

I've never done that with GB-PVR, although I imagine any number of people here have.

I'm not really sure what advice to give you. If the antenna/cable is connected, but it doesnt work with the supplied software, or GB-PVR, or the tuning assistant, then it sounds like a broken card or driver install to me.

This is not usual problem people would encounter.

I just got a Visiontek Theatre 550pro from my work. I set up everything succesfully. I am using zap2it and it can pull all the info but for all my channels I get nothing but fuzz. If i hook back into my tv i get picture. Not the best quality but it comes in.

I have an athlon 64 3000+ with 1GB OCZ ram. XFX 6800xt video card Gigabyte ga-k8ns pro mobo. I am using windows xp pro sp2.

I try with the provided snapstream software with the same results.

I need help please. If I can provide anymore info please ask me and I will try my best to do so.

What's your location and and source? (cable, aerial, satellite etc)
What tuning have you done?
