I'd like a option to save the epg data as a text file

Each tv channel should be its own *.txt file

e.g.

bbc1.txt

BBC1

01/02/2007
07:30
Eastenders

01/02/2007
08:00
Points Of View

01/02/2007
09:00
FILM - The Matrix

If you could add such a option that would be great

But until that happens can anybody tell me how to convert the .db3 file into a plain text file ?

(i'm assuming its the .db3 file that holds the epg data)

SQLiteSpy has been mentioned on these forums before and is a free download. I believe it has an export to txt feature.

The SQLite Data browser from sourceforge (http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net/) also has an export to a CSV file. You can only export tables, not sql queries though.

Thanks to both users for the quick reply

http://www.zeitungsjunge.de/delphi/sqlitespy/index.htm

Doesnt seem to have a export option that i can see - but i found the correct part of the database i was looking for

http://sqlitebrowser.sourceforge.net

That done the trick

As a php scripter [1] its now just a matter of filtering the text file to get rid of the stuff i dont want or need & save it in a text layout format that suits me

With any luck i'll post a url for finished epg listing in 1-2 weeks

[1] although a php scripter i only ever use flatfiles

The epg display script is starting to cough and splutter info life , Still have lots of work left to do before everything starts to work and look like a finished website .

1280x1024 required as in part i'm writing the website for my own persnoal use .

(i gave gb-pvr a plug on the forum as thats what i use to grab the epg data)

I really don't want to spoil a good partySmile .
Do you know the Enhanced WebAdmin (EWA). Afaict it does the same and a lot more as your php-script.

Had a quick look and it does more than mine will ever do .

In my own case part of the fun is writing the php script and laying things out exactly the way i want them .

Its also about increasing my php skills as i learnt how to do a mouseover popup and how to calculate the running time of a tv show or film using two unknown times like 23:50 and 00:30 .

Never tried it myself , But theres a windows app called 'digiguide' in the uk that lots users love and the way they rave about it does everything that EWA does .
