I've just reinstalled GB-PVR on my system and plugged it into my new 50" Pioneer Plasma (which looks absolutely amazing!). I'm running 99.12 using an MCE150 TV card. My problem is that using the standard VMR9 option no matter what MPEG decoder I try (Nvidia, GPL, Dscaler) I get a black border down the left hand side of my screen when playing live TV or recorded TV. This does not happen playing back other video files.
I can solve the problem by selecting the VMR9 Custom option which removes the border and solves the problem for both live video and playback. My problem with doing that is that I lose the ability to use my MCE remote (using standard MCE settings) when I play back and "non gbpvr" files, ie avi's or divx. Recoeded TV works fine. If I press any of the buttons nothing happens however moving the mouse or alt-tab brings the GB-PVR windows to the front and allows the remote to work fine. Somehow the GB-PVR window is obviously moving to the back while the video is being decoded.
Is this a bug of some sort or is there something I have missed? I never had the problem of the black border down the left using my old system and have tried reinstalling video drivers and numerous other things but to no avail. Using VMR9 Custom solves the problem - I just can't use my remote!
