Hi,
OK, my gbpvr installation is ALMOST working now. Only problem left now is that whenever I restart my machine, or reconnect my PVR USB2 device, then the video renderer in gbpvr somehow goes for a toss.

The sound is ok, but the display is all hazy and if the last frame is mixed with the current frame. Now, if i just close gbpvr, and start the standard WinTV 2000 application, then I see perfect TV in WinTV. Now, when I close WinTV and restart GBPVR's Live TV, I see perfect TV in GBPVR too.

So, now when i need to use GBPVR's Live TV, i first start and close WinTV and then start GBPVR. Any ideas anybody?

Can you post a screenshot?

Do you have a nvidia video card in your machine?

Hi,
I have attached, how the video appears on a new reboot or windows start.

I have Dell Inspiron 6000, which has ATi x300 display.

Sorry, I'm not really sure about that one. Its got to be something happening on the device though.

It is not a very big problem to start and stop WinTV before using gbpvr...but, if that is required even for scheduled and automatic recordings, then it will really need some solution, because my sole requirement for the PVR setup is unattended intelligent recording, while I am away from home.

Because GBPVR seems to be based on .NET 2.0, I am even in full mood to write plugins if at the moment GBPVR does not do something which I need and will then share it with the community.

Fingers crossed Sad

a total guess here: click on the Hauppague "primary" app and make sure force primary is selected.

are you running with 2 displays? ie. monitor and output to tv?

Just tried it. Didnt work Sad

The thing works fine even if the pc goes to sleep, and is awakened to do the recording, but if the USB device needs to be detected again....like after a power failure, where the tv tuner turns off and on, then i can loose my further recording if i am not at home, to start and stop winTV application Sad

Copy and save the following code to a batch file and add the batch file to your startup folder or registry run statement:

Code:
@echo off
cd "C:\Program Files\WinTV\"
call WinTV2K.EXE -nss -cg -ntod && WinTV2K.EXE -nss -cg -ntod -mOff

Change the path if needed. This should cause wintv to start and if the start is successful, should cause it to exit.
