VideoArchive: latest test version error

hey Jeff,

i installed the latest version of GBPVR (99.12) and the latest test version of VA (2007/04/03) and i am getting an error when starting the VA plugin. config and error logs attached...

Were you using the old version of the plug-in before?

hmm. no luck with the latest test version.

i have been using the last release of the plugin previously.

i had been using GBPVR 99.05. i upgraded VA and got these errors. i thought maybe it was because i had fallen behind on the GBPVR updates so i upgraded that as well.

after i sent you the log files i noticed that something seemed a bit strange with the GBPVR upgrade as well so i have redone it. GBPVR 99.12 and the older VA release work without error. when i install the latest VA, using the default blue skin, load GBPVR and go into VA i get the log attached. slightly different error to last time...

Can you zip up and post the lo files from the jeff subdirectory so I can see what the plug-in was doing at the same time?

ok, not i am not 100% sure if the older VA worked with 99.12 on my system before or not, but it doesn't now. attached are the logs, older VA version.

Never mind. I think I see what the problem was. I've posted an updated test version.

UPDATE: I think I have a bug in the new ConvertVADatabase that I just posted. it works on my development machine but not on my main main (which I couldn't get to test until just now). Please hold off trying the newly posted version until I have a chance to look into this later this week.

hey Jeff,

i finally got around to checking out the latest version you posted. when entering VA there is a message saying to wait for initialisation (with an OK button) and after hitting OK there is a message in the top saying Please Wait... and it just sits there with no disk or cpu activity. i see that someone else posted a similar response. i am currently using 99.05.

doesn't appear to be anything of note in the logs (GBPVR or Jeff logs)

rolling back to the old version again...
