My PVR has been freezing. Not just the program, the computer. The mouse and keyboard are unresponsive, I have to hit the power button to restart. It seems to freeze when going from watching live or recorded tv back to menu. It freezes with a black screen on the PVR-350 video output, and GBPVR says that TV is being played back....
There is a chance my motherboard is the problem, it was used, but it only freezes when running GBPVR so I'd like to make sure it's not the program before I replace the mobo. Is there a chance anyone could look over my logs and see if anything stands out? I am by no means an expert and I know this a vague request, so I'm sorry for the lack of information.
System info:
MOBO: P6IPAT
Processor: 633MHz Celeron
Ram: 512MB
OS: Windows XP SP2 Home Edition
Harddrive: 200GB
Thanks for all help, and again, sorry for being vague. I'll try to give any more info if I can.

This is a common problem when using the PVR350 tv out. It is a bug in the drivers for this device that affects about half the users that try. There is no fix other than stopping using the PVR350 tv out, or changing motherboards and hoping you get one that is more compatible with the PVR350.

This is the main reason I stopped supporting the PVR350 nearly two years ago.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I have a video card w/ tv out, would running GBPVR in fullscreen mode still use the decoder on the PVR-350, or would it be software decoded, in which case I assume a Celeron 633 is probably going to drag?

Thanks again,
Steve

It would be software decoded, so your CPU would be a problem. There is no alternative though - the PVR350 decoder is hardware wired to the TV out.

That makes sense. The whole reason I bought the PVR-350 was for the hardware decoder so I could use the old mobo I had sitting around. Oh well, such is life. Thanks for your help.
