config program crashes when mapping digital channels to epg

Hi,

Tried that but unfortunately it still crashes when scanning channel 10 (I checked and it is scanning 10=C22,100000,0,0,8 at that point, so I have changed the .ini file successfully).

Any other ideas?

Maybe try changing 9= instead. ie, it could be the one before that is causing the issue.

I'll try it but channel 9 is the one where it is locating quite a few programmes so this may screw those. I'll see if it solves the freezing issue first as that may get us a step forward.

OK Sub,

Some progress but not great!

It did not find anything when scanning 9 as expected but did not freeze on 10. Found some stuff at 12 and moved on through to 15 and found mor then froze on 16.

Please have a look at the attached screendumps that show progress.

Are we getting any closer?

Sorry, I dont really know what to suggest. Others havnt had this same problem.

Snakes - at a guess your using the Bilsdale transmitter.

If so you'd be somewhere on this map http://www.ukfree.tv/txdetail.php?a=SE553962. Is that correct? If so...are you located in any of the pink areas shown?

The information on that link above shows it has 3 MUXs at Low power and another at 'Below Average' - it also advises that you should make sure you have a good aerial, cables etc. If you are in that area you could try specifying it in Config for your region rather than 'All Regions' just to see if that changes the behaviour.

Looking at the info again though - C21 which you seem to be scanning successfully is one of the Low power MUXs. Odd.

Hi,

I don't think signal strength is the issue as I have managed to successfully lock all channels in Hauppagge and other programs sampled whilst trying to find an alternative to HVR 1300.

Thanks for looking at this though as it is so frustrating!.

I'm going to try uninstalling Hauppagge tonight and see if there is some conflict there.

Keep thinking though as I doubt this will be the solution!
