Simple question,

How does the gbpvr conversion end (kill) the process when I select to stop a conversion?

I´m asking that because I tried to use the stattik conversion batch file as a custom conversion profile, and it works very well but when I need to stop the conversion gbpvr kill the batch itself but mencoder keeps running.

I´m trying to figure a way to end the entire conversion process.

I'm not sure I actually understand yur question - but if you want to stop the mencoder process you could have a batch calling killprocess (google it) to kill the mencoder.exe

But then I guess you lose whatever it was working on?

Which conversion are you talking about? The transcode button in the config app, or MVP playback or automated recording conversion?

I´m talking about the transcode button in the video library.

After I start a conversion, a status window appears showing the file sizes and two buttons (stop and return?).

When I press the stop button, gbpvr kills the trancoding program. But if it´s a batch file gbpvr will kill the batch and let mencoder (or any other thing stated by the script) running.

With the actual gbpvr options I can´t set the stop button to call another batch that would kill mencoder (that would be a great option and solve my problem).

Sub, is there something like a posttranscoding.bat that would be called after ANY (even failed and stoped ones) conversion. This way I could create a script to kill mencoder if it´s still running.

JonnyCam, there isn´t any problem about ending mencoder before it finishes the conversion because stattik transcode script deals very well with incomplete files.

It just uses a .net API (Process.Kill) to kill the process that was started to perform the conversion. This works well for the built in ffmpeg, but not so well in your case because you've started some external unrelated process from the process that was started.

If you directly started mencoder rather than a batch file that starts mencoder, then it'd probably kill it correctly.

Sorry, unfortunately there isnt such a thing.
