Hi,

I have a problem with struttering playback of H264/1080p TS file. My PC is perfectly capable of playback of this file because it works fine with Media Player Classic (< 50% CPU - Intel C2D).

Here is the appropriate (I think) piece of the log file :-
2007-05-07 13:47:19.218 VERBOSE Creating new graph
2007-05-07 13:47:19.234 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredAudioRenderer)
2007-05-07 13:47:19.265 VERBOSE getSetting(TvShape)
2007-05-07 13:47:19.265 VERBOSE 16:9 television
2007-05-07 13:47:19.265 VERBOSE getSetting(VMRPreferYUVMixing)
2007-05-07 13:47:19.265 VERBOSE getSetting(VMRWindowedMode)
2007-05-07 13:47:19.265 VERBOSE getSetting(VMRDeinterlaceMode)
2007-05-07 13:47:19.265 VERBOSE VMRDeinterlaceMode: other (deferred)
2007-05-07 13:47:19.265 VERBOSE getSetting(PreferredMpegPlaybackDemux)
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE getSetting(VMRDeinterlaceMode)
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE getSetting(ListGraphFilters)
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE - NVIDIA Audio Decoder
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE - CoreAVC Video Decoder
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE - Haali Media Splitter (AR)
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE - c:\TV.h264.1080p.ts
2007-05-07 13:47:22.687 VERBOSE getSetting(SaveGraphFiles)
2007-05-07 13:47:22.781 VERBOSE setSourceAspectRatio() using autoAspectRatio
2007-05-07 13:47:22.781 VERBOSE video resolution is 1920 x 1080

When I drop the file into GraphEdit I get the same graph - using Haali - and it plays back fine, without any frame drops. I presume MPC is using its own internal Gabest splitter. WMP11 has the same problem as GBPVR.

The CPU level is <30% on GBPVR when running this file, so it isn't anything to do with the PC being capable of dealing with the processing requirements.

FWIW I've no problems with 720p or 1080i H264 files.

Any ideas? I know there are not too many people asking questions about H264 right now. This is the only file type I can't play through GBPVR, so it would be great to close out this issue...and go GBPVR completely.

I'll have to check tonight. I think its set to one of the VMR9 settings at the moment. Before I upgraded my graphics card I had problems with Overlay Mixer - so I think before the new card went in I was using VMR7. I'll try all the available combinations to see what I can see. (I did try to attach graphedit to GBPVR remotely to see what was happening, but it wouldn't appear).
